I have done 1-week work experience at Ericsson, seeing what and how mobile networks are maintained and how they work, I have learnt a lot of history as well, the inventor of the telephone, Alexander Graham Bell, who started it all with ‘cocoa tin and string’. The first public telephone appeared in the 19th Century serving small communities of interest in well developed areas.
In Kansas city an Undertaker, Almon B. Strowger, created the two motion selector, as he suspected the call centres were being bribed. This was later patented and became known as the Strowger exchanges.
I have also grasped how the 4G system is coming into play its called LTE meaning Long Term Evolution, soon 5G will be released which consists of roaming and call data. 4G was only capable of roaming data. I am still learning on 5G as it is not that old.
I feel that I have learnt an awful lot off this company and hope to learn a lot more later on. I thank Ericsson for having me.
